Echometer Tech Job Description Responsible for performing well tests to determine oil and water production rates Echometer Tech Job Duties Include, but are not limited to: Responsible for performing well tests to determine oil and water production rates Responsible for using Echometer equipment to determine static and producing fluid levels in individual wells Responsible for using Echometer equipment to analyze surface and downhole sucker rod pumping equipment to determine loads, efficiency, etc. Participation in some training schools during normal working hours is sometimes required. Responsible for determining and reporting fluid levels in shut-in wells on an annual basis for H-15 reporting purposes Work is very physically demanding and requires the ability to complete tasks, on time, without much direct supervision Work requires some math and computer skills as well as the ability to maintain and use a database on a laptop computer.

The ability to learn and understand how rotating machinery works is essential along with trouble shooting and problem solving Work is almost 100% out of doors during all seasons of the year. Very hot in summer and very cold in winter but always very greasy and dirty. Requires PPE furnished by employer except for steel toed shoes furnished by employee.

Roustabout type work is often required ie, using a pipe wrench to make plumbing changes at wellheads, moving and/or hauling heavy equipment. Some knowledge and understanding of electrical equipment is a plus Working knowledge of pumping units and downhole equipment is a plus Work is primarily within 50 miles of Wichita Falls but may require overnight trips out of town, occasionally Breaks and lunch on location. Works on a team of 2 to 4 men.
