Empower Ministry Through Research โ€“ One Insight at a Time

Do you have a passion for how people engage with Scripture and using research to advance discipleship worldwide? At Our Daily Bread Ministriesโ€™ Center for Bible Engagement (CBE), we seek an Assistant Research Analyst to support studies that deepen Bible engagement through data collection, analysis, and reporting that inform ministry strategy.

What Youโ€™ll Do

  • Support Research Design: Assist in designing and implementing quantitative and qualitative research studies focused on Bible engagement, discipleship, and spiritual formation.
  • Conduct Background Research: Perform literature reviews and compile research summaries to help shape study design and methodology.
  • Manage Data Collection: Administer surveys, coordinate interviews, track research logistics, and ensure accuracy and integrity of collected data.
  • Analyze Data: Conduct data coding and perform basic statistical analyses using tools such as SPSS, R, or similar software, in collaboration with senior research staff.
  • Prepare Research Outputs: Assist in drafting reports, presentations, and articles for both ministry leaders and external audiences in clear, accessible formats.
  • Support Project Coordination: Help manage timelines, scheduling, transcription, and day-to-day research operations to ensure smooth execution of projects.
  • Maintain Ethical Standards: Ensure confidentiality of research data and adherence to ethical research practices throughout all phases of work.
  • Ensure Biblical Integrity: Support research outputs that align with evangelical Christian values and maintain consistency with biblical principles.
What You Bring
  • Education: Bachelorโ€™s degree in Psychology, Sociology, Religious Studies, Theology, or a related field with a strong emphasis on research methodology; Masterโ€™s degree preferred.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of research experience in academic or applied settings, preferably within a ministry or faith-based organization.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with survey development, data coding, interview techniques, and basic statistical analysis. Proficiency in SPSS, R, or similar statistical software; Microsoft Excel required; experience with data visualization tools is a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly present complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Organization & Execution: Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Spiritual Alignment: A mature Christian faith with a passion for global Bible engagement and discipleship. Commitment to the ministryโ€™s statement of faith, alignment with evangelical Christian values, and a life consistent with biblical principles and ongoing spiritual growth.
