Job description

Veterinary Neurologist
Full-Time opportunity in Waukesha, Wisconsin
Schedule: FT
Why Join Wisconsin Veterinary Referral Center
WVRC is looking for a Neurologist to join our thriving multi-specialty practice in southeastern Wisconsin - and the timing couldn't be better. We just moved into a brand-new building (September 2025) outfitted with serious diagnostic muscle: a 128-slice GE CT, 1.5T Siemens MRI, GE 9900 fluoroscopy unit, and a second GE Loqic ultrasound. You'd be stepping into a well-established caseload with imaging capability that makes a real difference for neuro cases, not making do with hand-me-down equipment.
This isn't a solo gig propping up a service - you'd be joining an established multi-specialty team with Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Oncology, Critical Care, Surgery, Anesthesiology, Ophthalmology, Rehab, and Emergency all under one roof, plus active internship and emergency and surgery training programs to keep the intellectual energy high.
As part of Ethos, your voice, growth, and expertise truly matter.
Location Highlight
WVRC sits in Waukesha's "Lake Country," just outside Milwaukee - close enough for world-class music, dining, shopping, and museums, but rooted in the kind of community feel that makes Midwest living genuinely good. Think lakes, biking and hiking trails, sailing, fishing, a full summer festival circuit, and a winter calendar packed with performing arts, sporting events, and outdoor recreation. Chicago, Madison, and Green Bay are all a short drive away when you want a change of scenery.
Perks & Benefits
Benefits for this role may include health insurance (medical, dental, vision), retirement benefits, paid time off, short-term and long-term disability, and life insurance.
  • Competitive compensation
  • Sign-on or relocation assistance
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • CE allowance and professional development support
  • Paid time off
  • Retirement savings options
  • Employee assistance programs

In your day-to-day, you will:
  • Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to provide seamless, compassionate patient care.
  • Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful and emotional situations.
  • Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning.
  • Bring strong organizational instincts and a genuine interest in building collaborative relationships with colleagues.

What You Bring
  • DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure.
  • Board Certification in Neurology or Residency Trained in Neurology.
  • Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach.
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care.
  • A passion for continuous learning, teamwork, and advancing specialty medicine.
