Finance Technology Summer Scholar 

• This Summer Scholaris responsible forsupporting stakeholders through financial and non-financial accounting and reporting challenges with the goal of modernizing and enhancing accountingcapabilities;ensuring an effective internal control environment for compliance andaccuratefinancial information to support decision-making and financial reporting. Involves the integration of advanced technologies, innovative processes, and data analytics in the field of accounting.Alsoincludes the use of software, systems, and platforms to automate routine tasks, manage financial data, and improve efficiency and accuracy of accounting operations. 

A successful candidate would possess these skills:

Deloitte's Government & Public Services practice serves government agencies, higher education institutions, nonprofit organizations, and other public sector organizations. Teams work across strategy, operations, technology, and transformation efforts to help clients improve mission outcomes and organizational performance. Professionals in the practice have opportunities to build specialized experience while working in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment. 

Qualifications 

Required: 

• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and expected to graduate by Summer 2028 pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Finance Technology, Information Systems, Technology Management, or an equivalent program 

• Strong academic track record (3.0 cumulative GPA required) 

• You must reside within a commutable distance (e.g. 100-mile radius) of your assigned office with the ability to commute daily, if required 

• Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve. 

• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance 

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future. 

• Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at the time of employment. 

Preferred: 

• 3.4 cumulative GPA preferred 

• Internship, project, or coursework experience in business analytics, computer science, finance Technology, information Systems, or technology management
