Job description

Position Title:
Part Time Instructor - School of Computing & Analytics
Position Type:
Fixed Term (Fixed Term)
About the Role:
The School of Computing and Analytics at Northern Kentucky University invites applications for part-time instructor positions to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in one or more of the following areas:
• Computer Science & Software Engineering
• Cybersecurity & Information Technology
• Information Systems & Analytics
Primary Responsibilities
  • Teach one or more undergraduate and/or graduate courses in the School of Computing and Analytics, depending on departmental needs and the candidate's qualifications.
  • Deliver high-quality instruction in face-to-face, online, and/or hybrid formats as assigned.
  • Maintain regular communication with students and provide timely feedback on assignments and assessments.
  • Develop and maintain course materials consistent with departmental learning outcomes.
  • Submit grades and other required documentation in accordance with university policies.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Health Informatics, or a closely related field.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree in a computing-related discipline.
  • Previous college or university teaching experience.
  • Relevant industry experience and/or professional certifications.
  • Experience teaching in online and/or hybrid learning environments.
