Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Middle School Summer Program Instructor to lead engaging educational activities for young learners through 3 different two week programs. Each is focused on a different topic area comprising math, science, and the humanities. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to inspire middle school students, foster their curiosity, and create a fun, safe, and productive learning environment. The ideal candidate will be an inspired educator with a broad knowledge base, creativity, and a passion for helping students thrive both academically and socially throughout the summer program.
Responsibilities
  • Facilitate the prepared curriculum from June 8th through July 17th with prior availability for training and onboarding.
  • Foster a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation, respect, and teamwork.
  • Monitor student behavior and provide guidance to ensure a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for all participants
  • Collaborate with fellow instructors and management staff to troubleshoot challenges and enhance the overall program experience
  • Assess student progress through informal observations and provide constructive feedback to support their development
  • Ensure compliance with program policies and safety protocols
Required Qualifications
  • Prior teaching and tutoring experience.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to empower and connect with young learners
  • Creative problem-solving skills to adapt activities for diverse learning styles and needs
