Deer Valley Resort is nestled in the Wasatch Mountains of Utah, in the historic mining town of Park City which has evolved into an exciting and diverse mountain ski town. Our staff consists of locals, transplants, seasonal workers from all 50 states and international students from around the globe. We are a diverse workforce where everyone feels welcome, appreciated, and valued. No matter if you are 14 or 84 years, there is a place for you in the Deer Valley family! (Last year over 1,100 staff members celebrated their fifth season or more at Deer Valley).

PURPOSE OF POSITION: A Cook II is responsible for assisting the sous chef with the preparation and presentation of the daily menus (especially high-quality specials, soups, stew and chilies). The Grotto is an employee dining room.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Produce flavorful dishes adhering to production standards and time constraints

  • Cook dishes according to recipes and develop new food selections in conjunction with the sous chef and executive chef

  • Keep service lines clean, change pans as needed, and ensure food selections are well-stocked and appropriately garnished

  • Properly store and rotate food to ensure freshness and avoid waste

  • Completed daily inventories

  • Assist servers during busy times

  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Previous kitchen experience required

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
