Member Experience Intern

Portal has an opportunity at our Ocean State Lab location for a Member Experience Intern this summer. Gain hands-on experience supporting a growing innovation hub as we build momentum from our opening and deepen our presence in the Life Sciences ecosystem. This role is ideal for someone who has a knack for creating great experiences, enjoys fast paced learning, and wants to build skills across event coordination, hospitality, content creation, and day-to-day operations.

What You'll Do

Events & Hospitality

· Gain experience in end-to-end event logistics — from setup and guest check-in to breakdown

· Learn how to create a welcoming, professional environment for members, guests, and event attendees

· Support seamless on-site execution of events like lunch and learns, workshops, networking events, and community programming

Content & Social Media

· Learn how to capture compelling photos and short videos that tell the story of our members and ecosystem

· Collaborate with your on-site team and our National Marketing team to draft social media posts that reflect the energy and culture of our Ocean State location

Office Operations

· Support front desk hospitality by greeting and badging in members and visitors

· Help keep the kitchen, office supplies, and print/copy station stocked and organized

· Support general administrative tasks and gain exposure to the day-to-day operations of a collaborative workspace

Location: ONSITE - Providence, RI

Hours: Up to 30 hours during max a week

Dates: September - December 2026
