Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Assistant Athletic Director - Ticketing and Partnerships, the Assistant Director of Corporate Development and Fulfillment will be responsible for the day-to-day management and fulfillment of the Division of Athletics' corporate partner portfolios, an assigned sales portfolio, supporting positive relationships with all corporate partners and prospects, and assisting in other revenue generating ventures.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Direct and manage the tracking, collection and activation of all corporate partner contractual obligations with necessary departments (ticket office, video services, marketing, digital and social media, graphic design, creative video, etc.) to ensure all obligations are met and exceeded.
• Lead the development and distribution of end-of-year fulfillment reports for all corporate partners.
• Direct and oversee the design, proofing and printing of the Men's Basketball Gameday Program.
• Manage all partnership invoicing and accounts receivable.
• Manage an assigned portfolio of corporate partners and prospects (each ranging from $5,000 to $75,000+ yearly); including prospecting, cultivation, idea / asset generation, proposals, negotiations and retention of corporate partners to ensure continued growth.
• Assist and oversee the planning and execution of select corporate partner special events.
• Direct and oversee the design and execution of the annual Corporate Business Development Opportunities sales prospecting publication.
• Assist in the yearly Athletics' UBIT reporting.
• Assist in the day-to-day management of other revenue generating ventures.
• Assist in men's basketball premium seating and post-season ticketing (Conference and NCAA Tournament) as needed.
• Serve as a member of the External Operations Team, and Sales and Revenue Team.
• Hire, mentor and oversee Corporate Development Student Assistants, as well as oversee the corporate partnership functions of the Coordinator of External Engagement and Marketing.
All University of Dayton Athletics employees are expected to comply with all laws, policies, rules and regulations governing the University, NCAA and the Atlantic 10 Conference.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Minimum of one (1) year of successful experience within sponsorships (sales or activation), ticket sales, development, marketing, or similar area.
- Able to demonstrate excellent time management, organization, and communication (written and verbal) skills.
- Must possess a valid driver's license, maintain a low risk driving record and be able to be insured by the university.
Preferred Qualifications:
While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:
- Experience with the Archtics Ticketing System.
- Knowledge of the Dayton market and local businesses.
- One (1) year in the sales and servicing of sports marketing partnerships and/or premium ticket sales at the intercollegiate or professional athletics level.
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with vendors, partners and staff to execute large, multi-asset, partnerships.
- Experienced with advanced digital design software (i.e. Adobe Creative Suite).
