Rate of pay: $15.00. Final compensation is based on factors such as the skills, qualifications, and experience.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement innovative and creative workshops & activities.
  • Supervise participants and always ensure their safety and welfare
  • Participate in field trips and out of building activities
  • Work cooperatively with other staff.
  • Acquaint participants with rules, activities, daily schedules and program routines
  • Interact and communicate with parents/guardians during drop-off and pick-up
  • Assist in organizing projects, events and special events
  • Ensure all equipment and supplies are properly used and maintained
  • Attend and complete all staff paperwork and training
  • Follow pre-planned schedules and arrive on time to set activities
  • Report all injuries immediately and fill out appropriate forms
  • Assist in meeting and maintain YMCA standards

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be at least 21 years of age (at least 4 years older than teen in program).
  • Demonstrate maturity, good judgement, previous camp experience, or experience working with groups of children.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Multi-Lingual
  • Experience working with middle and high school age youth
