What You'll be Doing:
  • Assisting in the supervision and instruction of students
  • Under the supervision of a certified teacher, working with individual and or/small groups of student in a classroom
  • Monitoring students in a variety of different settings e.g. classroom, playground, cafeteria, library, etc.
  • Providing support to the teacher

What We Offer:
  • Salary: $19.25 - $25.27 per hour (depending on experience)

Job Details:
  • Working days: 5 days per week
  • Hours per day: 6 hours
  • Temporary for the 2025.2026 Summer School Pre-Kinder Jump Start Program: July 27, 2026 - August 7, 2026
  • Up to 4 positions available
  • Three Migrant PreK Jumpstart paraprofessionals are needed to support the summer PreK Jumpstart Program. Additional hours may be available for professional development prior to the program. Dates: 07/27/2026 08/07/2026.

What You'll Need:
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: Job related experience is desired.
  • Minimum qualifications: Be at least eighteen years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent. Must meet the minimum requirement for a paraprofessional (Hold an associates of arts degree, have earned 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at an institution of higher learning or have passed the state paraeducator assessment).

Work Environment
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, some climbing and balancing, some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling and some fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 34% sitting, 33% walking, and 33% standing. The job is performed under minimal temperature variations and in a generally hazard free environment.
