CNC Operators/Machinists  

 

Starting wages: $19.00 - $30.00 /hr (based on skill level) plus a 15% shift differential

Earn up to an additional $100 a month in Attendance Bonus ($1,200 annual value)

Key Result Accountabilities:

  • Operates and/or sets up CNC shop equipment with minimal assistance.
  • Ability to simultaneously operate more than one machine as required.
  • Sharpens tooling as needed to maintain tolerances, may give input or recommendations.
  • Makes minimal adjustments and monitors assigned equipment to ensure dimensional part integrity.
  • Able to preset tooling for setups and tool breakages during normal operations.
  • Maintains tooling following established tool life guidelines.
  • Troubleshoots and corrects problem with minimal assistance.
  • Deburrs, buffs or sands parts to meet requirements to print specifications as required.
  • Verifies the revision level for current operations.
  • Verifies documentation and accuracy of completed operations.
  • Inspects parts visually and dimensionally using basic inspection equipment and techniques to assure conformance to requirements with minimal assistance.
  • Completes all applicable documentation for current operations.
  • Required to follow quality procedures to ensure traceability and segregation of materials as required.
  • Perform preventative machine maintenance as required.
  • Assists with establishing priorities, problem solving and setting goals within the department. Helps others in the department when needed.
  • Ability to perform majority of operations of the department. Fills in for Machinist and Senior Machinist as/when needed.
  • Evaluates systems and processes and makes recommendations regarding modification and helps implement.
  • Trains Associates on operations and procedures; assures proper and complete knowledge of such training has been completed and willing to sign off as such.
  • Leads set-ups, working with others.  Completes the daily Standard Work check-list.
  • Responsible for achieving utilization goals, production standards and scrap rates for the cell, plus all shifts.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience required.  Technical or vocational schooling preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment with the ability to maintain a positive demeanor and cohesive work environment with all associates. 
  • Ability to use typical inspection equipment.
  • Ability to read blueprints and operation sheets. 
  • Good understanding of shop math.
