Job description

We are currently looking for Math instructors for Middle\High school level students. We help students in all subject areas.
Math: Pre Alg, Alg, Geometry, Alg 2\Trig, Pre Calc, Calc. Tutors can teach some or all of these subjects!
We also offer Science subjects including: Earth Science, Bio, Chemistry, and Physics.

Math Instructors can be candidates for two Departments - Exam Prep and Subject Tutoring:
  • Exam Prep: 1:1 individualized instruction to 11th-12th grade students preparing for the SAT/ACT exams.
  • Subject Tutoring: 1:1 individualized instruction to 7th-12th grade students, providing academic support in one specific math/science subject

The Huntington Teacher Opportunity:
  • Work with students in a 1-to-1 setting.
  • There are no lesson plans to write or homework assignments to grade!
  • Flexible, part-time hours - afternoon, evening, weekend and summer.
  • Competitive hourly rate and paid training.

Compensation: $18-22/hour (commensurate with experience).
Center Hours (school year):
  • Monday-Thursday: 2-8:30pm.
  • Friday: 2-8pm.
  • Saturday-Sunday: 9am-5pm.

Center Hours (Summer):
  • Monday-Thursday: 9am-8pm.
  • Friday-Saturday: 9am-1pm.
  • Sunday: 9am-3pm.
  • Minimum hours/week - 10.
  • Maximum hours/week - 30.

*Please note that we do not hire seasonally, as this is a year-round role.

Huntington Teacher Requirements include:
  • 4-year degree required in a related field.
  • Must be able to easily commute to our location in Yorktown Heights, NY.
  • All experience levels are welcome to apply – recent grads, current teachers, and retired professionals.
