You will work as part of a small technical team supporting systems both locally and at remote locations. This position includes hands-on lab configuration, fielding and upgrading network equipment, resolving JIRA tickets, and providing ongoing operational support.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Work through technical issues and service requests using JIRA or similar ticketing systems
  • Maintain network configurations, documentation, diagrams, and compliance records
  • Provide remote and in-person support for systems at multiple locations
  • Participate in on-call operational support once fully trained
  • Travel occasionally, including OCONUS travel, as mission requirements dictate

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Network Engineering experience appropriate for the Level 2 labor category
  • Strong Cisco and Arista configuration and sustainment experience
  • Experience supporting enterprise network environments
  • Familiarity with LatteArt and supporting SSP and STE/STN compliance requirements
  • Knowledge of network security, routing, switching, firewalls, and related network technologies
  • Strong network troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in lab and operational environments
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation skills
  • Ability to travel occasionally, including OCONUS, and participate in on-call support once trained

Desired Skills
  • Call Manager experience
  • Cisco ASA Firewall experience
  • Experience automating repetitive networking, inventory collection, or compliance-related tasks
  • Experience with cloud environments, hyperconverged infrastructure, and/or containerized environments

Education and Experience:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security Engineering, or related field and six (6) years of relevant network engineering experience; OR
  • Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline and eight (8) years of relevant network engineering experience; OR
