Join the Goddard School Summer Camp Faculty in Anderson Township. Begin or grow your childcare career with the leader in early childhood education in the Cincinnati area. Full-time and part-time Summer Camp Counselor positions available. Campers range in age from 6-10yrs. Summer Camp Counselors are welcome to remain with us through the school year, if your school schedule allows.

The Goddard School is a renowned program with a Piaget (Learning through PLAY) based foundation. The focus of our program is to instill a love of learning while playing and having fun SUMMER included!
Camp Counselor Primary Responsibilities:
Our counselors are responsible for coordinating and supervising the daily functions of a group of children. Generally, ages 6-10 yrs. Counselors will plan and implement FUN and developmentally appropriate activities for children in a safe child-care environment. Duties include:
Organizing team games such as soccer, kickball and volleyball, explaining the rules and acting as referee or umpire throughout the game
Leading activities such as crafts and art, demonstrating various techniques and encouraging children to come up with ideas
Communicating with parents, providing updates where required and answering questions about the camp
Engaging with children to support each childs social and emotional development
Supervising a group of assigned children on field trips, and on visitor days, making sure they are accounted for and safe.
Providing guidance, motivation and support all camp visitors
Be a great team player and able to work well with other faculty!

A high school diploma is required, but an Associate or Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education (or related field) is a bonus. A CDA credential is also a plus!
Ability to lift 50 lbs in connection with the handling of children. Infant Teachers must be able to properly lift infants in and out of a crib.
