Where would you step in?
You will sit in our Rhinebeck, NY office and will work in a hybrid work environment. Our Land Use Team and Projects With nearly 100 professional engineers, our senior technical and project management leaders have earned an outstanding reputation with private, state, and local government clients who are also recipients of multiple ACEC Engineering Excellence and ASCE Project Awards. We assist clients from the initial conceptual planning stages of a project through schematic design, design development, permitting, construction documents, bidding, and construction oversight. Well versed in local, state, and federal regulations, as well as ever evolving climate change impacts and concerns, we strive to incorporate sustainability and resiliency into our site plans and designs.
What will you be doing?
You will be assisting in our Civil/Site Planning & Design Team in researching, compiling, and examining a wide variety of structure related data as well as assisting staff with a variety of projects and/or field assignments. You will help perform engineering calculations, proofreading, and copying of various reports and specs. There is potential to learn and perform light drafting tasks and potentially assist with small design tasks in AutoCAD.
What do you need?
You will need to be currently enrolled and pursing a BS in Civil Engineering with at least 2 years of completed course work. You will need to demonstrate intellectual curiosity, a desire to solve engineering problems, flexibility, a positive attitude, and open mindedness. It would be helpful to have experience using design software.

Our internships offer students the opportunity to work on real assignments across multiple disciplines, while also directly relating to their coursework. Students are paired with a "buddy" and supervisor, both of which provide day-to-day guidance on projects throughout the summer. We also rely heavily on our internship pool for entry-level full-time openings each year.
Compensation
The starting hourly range for candidates is: $19-26 per hour. Your rate is determined based upon completed years of education.
