Job description

Mountain View Tennis is seeking a team of passionate, hard-working, full-time summer counselors (interns) as well as part-time camp or support assistants.
MV Tennis professionals use the Rally Progression Method (an engaged, partner-based method of instructing tennis) as well as dynamic level tracking to assist customers with personal development. Our tennis company embraces successful concepts commonly seen in the boutique fitness industry including:
  • one focused training methodology
  • continuous customer feedback with technology
  • social connection (specifically building community at public parks)

Summer Intern (Full-time Seasonal College & CPT Program)
This summer opportunity is ideal not only for candidates interested in joining the racquet sports industry, but for current college students looking for practical field experience aligned with future careers in information systems, marketing and graphic arts, finance/accounting, business administration, kinesiology/health sciences, and public affairs (parks and green space). All coaches must become fluent in digital platforms for messaging, task management, and customer relationship management.
Summer Assistant (Part-time Seasonal)
This is a perfect opportunity for a college student (local or returning home for the summer) as well as rising high school seniors. Students with 5+ years of structured tennis experience and a history of competitive participation on school teams or in competitive tournaments are encouraged to join us. Customer service enthusiasts who are excited to work at the tennis center for the summer are also welcome to apply.
Requirements
Interestedcandidates (full-time interns only) should be avid tennis players with at least five years of formal learning as a player and preferably a competitive background in college or junior tournament play. Qualifying experience may include:
  • Current participation on a college tennis team
  • Participation in junior tournaments and rankings
  • Pursuing a degree that aligns with off-court platform opportunities
  • Note that skilled players lacking an extensive competitive background may compensate with technical skills from other sports and fitness disciplines. All tennis enthusiasts are welcome to apply!

In addition to on-court coaching, all candidates (interns and assistants) must be willing to (1) embrace an active off-court customer service role and (2) learn a suite of mobile and desktop applications to complete daily tasks. All summer workers are required to:
  • Work off-court in customer reception, service, and support
  • Master a minimum of five core apps to complete daily work
  • Complete daily facility maintenance tasks such as court upkeep, storage, inventory, and clubhouse cleaning

Benefits
The starting base rate for qualified workers is $20 per hour before compensation benefits.
Full-time interns receive substantial compensation benefits including full local housing (estimated value of $1,000-$1,200 per month), subsidized rideshare program, and end of summer bonuses. All workers receive fully subsidized weekday lunches.
