Farmington Continuing Education - Summer Program Counselors and Counselors In Training
Please apply here if you have been in contact with Farmington Continuing Education and are completing an application for one of the following:

  • Strings Academy (Irving A Robbins Middle School)
  • VPA Visual and Performing Arts / FCE Art Academy (Farmington High School)
  • FLL FIRST LEGO League Summer Program (Irving A Robbins Middle School)
  • Food Explorers (Irving A Robbins Middle School)

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

This is an application for Counselor or Counselor In Training (CIT) for the Farmington Continuing Education summer youth program offerings below.  Please indicate which program or programs you would be interested in working in.  Applicants will be notified of their acceptance by the Program Manager and will receive an email and an initial offer letter.

Start Date: Per Program
Salary: Determined based on position and qualifications
Location: See location next to camp

Lead Counselor/Counselor

Grade Requirement:   A qualified student entering grade 12, entering or in college (Theatre, Strings, VPA, FLL) 

Compensation:  $16.94 per hour

Counselor in Training (CIT)

Grade Requirement: A qualified student entering grades 10-12

Compensation:  85% of min. wage for last week of work
 

Summer Program Offerings:  

  • Theatre Academy at Irving Robbins (students entering grades 9-10 can apply) 

Program dates: June 22-July 2, 2026 (9 days)  9 AM - 2 PM (M-F)

  • Farmington Strings Academy at Irving Robbins Middle School (students entering grades 11-12 can apply) 

Program Dates: July 6-24, 2026 (15 days)  1-4 PM (M-F)

  • FIRST LEGO League at Irving Robbins Middle School (students entering grades 9-10 can apply) 

Program Dates: June 22-26, 2026 (5 days) 9 AM-4 PM (M-F)

  • Food Explorers at Irving Robbins (age 18+, lead counselor only)

Program Dates: June 22-26, 2026 (5 days)  9 AM - 4 PM (M-F)

  • Visual and Performing Arts at Farmington High School (students entering grades 9-10 can apply) 

Program Dates: July 27 - August 7, 2026 (10 days)  9 AM - 12 PM (M-F)
