Job description

POSITION: Substitute Custodian for Jordan Public Schools.
SUMMARY: Provide a clean, safe, positive environment for students, staff and the public.
SALARY: $19.87 per hour
REPORTS TO: Facilities Director
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Degree earned or equivalent experience.
  • Licensure or licensure in progress a plus.
  • Good physical condition, ability to work in confined areas (ie: boiler room) and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds with no physical restrictions.
  • Experience working with school district maintenance, procedures, methods and policies and the ability to properly instruct and oversee subordinates (ie: summer help).
  • Maintain confidentiality, professionalism and appropriate dress and appearance.    
  • Personal attributes necessary for working within a team setting and creating an inviting and welcoming environment. 
  • Knowledge of computer programs and willingness to learn specific systems used within the district (ex: electronic maintenance request system).
  • Detail orientated
