Location:Easter Seals Alberta - Camp Horizon

Term:June 1, 2026 - August 23, 2026 (12 weeks)

Hours:40 hours/week (Monday-Friday, on-site residency required)


 AboutCamp Horizon

EasterSeals Alberta Camp Horizon is a fully accessible camp located in the foothills,providing year-round recreational and respite programs for children and adultswith disabilities. Our Maintenance Team plays a key role in ensuring a safe,clean, and welcoming environment for all campers and staff.

PositionSummary

TheMaintenance Summer Student supports the upkeep and daily operations of CampHorizon's facilities and grounds. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone whoenjoys working outdoors, problem-solving, and contributing to a meaningfulmission.

KeyResponsibilities

        Assistwith general maintenance and repairs of camp buildings, cabins, andinfrastructure

         Perform Routine housekeeping assignments

        Performroutine inspections of facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness

        Supportgroundskeeping duties (mowing, trimming, garbage removal, etc.)

        Assistwith set-up and take-down of camp programs and events

        Maintaintools, equipment, and storage areas in an organized manner

        Supportbasic plumbing, carpentry, and painting tasks as needed

        Followall health & safety policies and procedures

        Workcollaboratively with the Camp Operations and Maintenance team

Qualifications

        Abilityto perform physical labour and work outdoors in various weather conditions

        Basicknowledge of maintenance tools and general repair tasks is an asset

        Strongwork ethic, reliability, and positive attitude

        Abilityto work independently and as part of a team

        Goodproblem-solving skills and attention to detail

Requirements

        Mustbe available to live on-site Monday through Friday for the duration of thecontract

        Mustprovide a clear Police Information Check (including Vulnerable Sector Check)
