POST RANCH INN, the world renowned boutique hotel in Big Sur, seeks an Overnight Guest Relations Supervisor to join our team. The nature of the position requires working during late PM and early AM hours (generally 11:00pm - 7:00am), 5 days per week. Occasional vehicle usage will be required, must be 21 years of age to operate and have a clean driving record under insurance guidelines.

JOB OBJECTIVE: As a member of Post Ranch Inn, the Overnight Supervisor is responsible for ensuring night audit is performed accurately and in a timely manner, and for assisting guests with overnight requests. This role will act as manager on duty and be responsible for issues that arise overnight to ensure that Post Ranch exceeds expectations of each guest during each stay, in an effort to ensure 100% guest satisfaction and desire to return. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Act as manager on duty for the Hotel as the lead, and, at times, the only personnel active throughout the night Post necessary charges to guest rooms, perform daily checks and balances for all guest reservations, and run nightly audit on property management system Create and deliver all necessary reports to appropriate departments/managers Answer all guest calls in a prompt and courteous manner Assist with late check-ins and early check-outs as needed Communicate with other departments on information that impacts night audit Maintain knowledge of hotel facilities/services, rates, room accommodations, and all hotel and departmental policies and procedures Take appropriate action in the case of an emergency in or around the Hotel and the entire property Provide ride service to employee parking for the last Sierra Mar employee/manager Maintain an organized and clean Front Desk Ensure Night Audit associates are performing all necessary tasks accurately and efficiently Train new Night Audit associates as necessary Other duties as assigned ESSENTIAL WORK SKILLS: Accounting skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals Computer skills: proficient in property management systems, basic reporting tools, and standard office software Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent Ability to draw and interpret bar graphs Effective verbal and written communication skills in English; secondary languages preferred for communication with ESL guests and staff alike Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Ability to write routine correspondences Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations Dealing successfully with a variety of individuals from various socio-economic, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) One year related experience and/or training in hospitality; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

College degree and/or certification in accounting highly preferred.
