About this Position
The seasonal Golf Course Landscape Laborer will perform manual groundskeeper tasks for KickingBird Golf, including mowing, weed-eating, hand-watering the greens, and more. This greenskeeper role is a seasonal landscaper position that lasts throughout the spring and summer.
This maintenance helper role works from 5:30 am to 2:00 pm, or from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. This role includes weekend work.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
    • Or be a current high school student
  • Some experience in golf course maintenance or a similar field
  • Some experience operating/maintaining machinery and equipment
  • Valid Oklahoma Driver's License and a driving record acceptable to the City's insurance carrier

Responsibilities
  • Perform various grounds maintenance tasks using vehicles, tools, and equipment
  • Perform repairs or maintenance tasks on golf course grounds and buildings
  • Maintain tools and equipment
  • Mow grass, water greens, and work with plant life
  • Operate and maintain electrical and hand tools
  • Learn the operation of a clutch type (gear shift) transmission
  • Build, paint, and repair golf course equipment, fences, and buildings
  • Remove weeds, trash, snow, and other debris from the golf course, sidewalks, etc.
  • Be available for duty at KickingBird Golf during hours as established by the Golf Course Superintendent

  • Ability and willingness to work outdoors, potentially during inclement weather and intense heat
  • Ability to meet the required physical standards for this position
  • Ability to pass extensive background process and pre-employment drug test
