Summer Event Crew Member (Seasonal)

Looking for a fun summer job with flexible scheduling? Runaway Kitchen is hiring seasonal Event Crew Members to help us through our busiest event season, including the St. Paul Rodeo, one of the largest events we attend all year.


This position is especially well-suited for high school and college students looking to earn extra money during the summer, though applicants of all ages (16+) are welcome.


This is a temporary summer position with the potential to continue as an event-only team member after the summer season ends.

Important Availability Requirement

Applicants must be available to work the majority of the St. Paul Rodeo (June 30 - July 4). Scheduling for other events is flexible, and team members can generally choose which events they would like to work based on their availability.


What You'll Do
  • Take orders and assist customers at the service window
  • Run the register and handle transactions
  • Hand out food and beverages accurately
  • Prep ingredients and assist with food preparation
  • Help keep the trailer clean, organized, and stocked
  • Wash dishes and assist with end-of-day cleaning
  • Support the team wherever needed during events and catering jobs


What You Need
  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Food Handler Card (or ability to obtain one before starting)
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Customer service or food service experience is a plus, but not required
