Consultative Offerings, Government & Public Services - Summer Scholar - Business Risk 

Join Deloitte's Government & Public Services practice as a Summer Scholar and help organizations address complex challenges that matter. In this role, you will work alongside teams supporting transformation initiatives, improving performance, and helping clients generate measurable value. As a Summer Scholar in our Government & Public Services practice, you will be an integral member of a client service team, collaborating with diverse and talented team members to help solve multidimensional problems, improve performance, and generate value for our clients. You can capitalize on our cross-industry presence to find your niche and build your individual brand within the organization.

Business Risk Summer Scholar 

  • This Summer Scholar helpsclients to embrace their most strategic risks, providing a platform of advisory services that enable senior executives to plan for, spot, assess, manage, and respond to brand and reputational, financial, catastrophic risks and unforeseen threats that could undermine their competitive position and jeopardize their critical assets, reputation or financial standing. 

A successful candidate would possess these skills:

  • Meticulous attention to detail and quality of work product 
  • Ability to build and sustain professional relationships 
  • Ability to lead projects or workstreams

The team 

Deloitte's Government & Public Services practice serves government agencies, higher education institutions, nonprofit organizations, and other public sector organizations. Teams work across strategy, operations, technology, and transformation efforts to help clients improve mission outcomes and organizational performance. Professionals in the practice have opportunities to build specialized experience while working in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment. 

Qualifications 

Required: 

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and expected to graduate by Summer 2028 pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance, Risk Management, Technology, or a related/equivalent program 
  • Strong academic track record (3.0 cumulative GPA required) 
  • You must reside within a commutable distance (e.g. 100-mile radius) of your assigned office with the ability to commute daily, if required 
  • Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve. 
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance 
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future. 
  • Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at the time of employment. 

Preferred: 

  • 3.4 cumulative GPA preferred 
  • Internship, project, or coursework experience in accounting, business, economics, finance, risk management, or technology.
