The Commercial Summer Internship Program provides students the opportunity to work with experienced and inspiring leaders in challenging projects across GE Appliances' Marketing & Sales organizations. Upon completion of the summer internship, interns will have the ability to interview for a full-time position post-graduation in our Commercial Development Program.

How You'll Create Possibilities
Commercial intern assignments, generally 12 weeks, vary widely in terms of the types of work required. Team assignments may include: Retail or Contract National Account Sales, Brand Management, Product Marketing, Sales Operations, Training, Pricing Analytics, or other sales/marketing focused teams. Possible assignment tasks may include, but not limited to:
Marketplace Knowledge:
  • Market research and trend analysis
  • Competitive cross shop and go to market strategies
  • Development of product cross reference guides
  • Social media deep dives and enhancement recommendations

Process Excellence:
  • Creating documentation and training material
  • Developing marketing content and materials
  • Developing training content and materials

Sales Analytics:
  • Develop promotional sales events dashboards and reporting
  • Support product line review development financial plans and promotional planning scenarios

GEA Value Proposition:
  • Learn GEA product portfolio to enhance summer experience performance
  • Support product line reviews, development of PowerPoints, in-store shops, marketing assets

Interns have significant exposure opportunity to key Sales and Marketing leaders at GE Appliances as well as employees currently in the Commercial Development Program (CDP).
Positions are located in Louisville, KY; Housing & Relocation assistance available. Internship open to rising Juniors and Seniors (Grad Dates May 2028-May 2029).
What You'll Bring to Our Team
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be a full-time student currently enrolled in a 4 year-college or university program pursuing a bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Sales, Finance or related field.
  • Must be able to work 40 hrs per week for the duration of the internship.
  • Must hold and maintain a minimum 3.0 out of 4.0 overall grade point average.
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Legal authorization to work in the country/region where the business is hiring is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now, nor in the future, for this position.
