Summer Data Engineers are often assigned to real-world projects such as building data pipelines, cleaning and transforming datasets, and supporting analytics initiatives within their teams. They may collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and business analysts to ensure data is accessible, reliable, and well-documented for analysis or reporting. Weekly responsibilities can include writing SQL queries, developing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and participating in regular team meetings or code reviews.
