Process Engineer Co-Op/Intern - Summer 2027Where will you work: Mosaic Potash Esterhazy is a conventional potash mine located 90 kilometers south of Yorkton. It's split between three mine sites - K1, K2 and K3 which will be the largest, and one of the world's most competitive underground potash mines in the world. A Process Engineer Co-Op/Intern at Mosaic will be assigned to special projects and will assist other engineers on major projects andday-to-day troubleshooting to optimize mill performance. What you'll do:
Day-to-day work assignments could include fieldwork, e.g. data analysis, report writing, and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs).
Projects will be assigned by the supervisor and could include:
Troubleshooting to identify root causes of problems
Metric reporting and process optimization
Projects to optimize process controls
Mass and energy balances for various types of chemical processes
Communication/operator training for project implementation
Assist Turnaround and Repair Day equipment inspections as required
Communicate with various levels of personnel throughout the organization, including management, plant operators, engineers (of various disciplines), lab personnel, and contractors
Participation in department meetings and meetings specific to the project assignment

Third year or above by May 2027 pursuing a bachelor's in Chemical, Industrial, Mechanical and or Process Engineering
72% or higher
Ability to function in an industrial chemical and mining environment.
1-2 years of experience volunteering, working with student/school organizations, orworkis preferred.
Previousinternship or co-op experience is preferred.
Reliable transportation and valid driver's license - You will need to be able to travel to and from sites and/or office.
Ability to work full timeand be a student in standing at the time of the co-op/internship
Selected candidates willbe requiredto successfully completepost-offer/pre-placementdrug and alcohol screening, background check, physical, functional capacity examination.
Basic computer skills are required
Experience working in a team environment is a must
Familiarity with an industrial environment is highly desirable
Effective verbal communication skills is a plus
