Job description

Veritas Prep is seeking skilled and dedicated teachers to lead a three-week Summer Academy designed to boost student achievement and close learning gaps. This academic experience is focused on accelerating learning in both Math and ELA through targeted, skill-based instruction—not project-based learning or group work.

Anticipated Vacancies:

  • 1 lab coordinator
  • 1 Writing workshop teacher
  • 1 Problem solving teacher

Teachers will:

  • Plan and deliver grade-level curriculum in the subject area.
  • Use school-identified key standards to drive acceleration and remediation.
  • Monitor student progress through weekly assessments and a final summative assessment.
  • Track mastery by lesson and report outcomes to the Summer Academy Director.
  • Adjust instruction and interventions as needed based on student data.
  • Participate in up to 12 hours of preparation before the summer session begins.

Program Expectations:

  • Teach from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. daily, Monday through Friday from July 6th - July 24th, 2026
  • Maintain 90% or higher daily attendance for a cohort of 20–25 students.
  • Take part in all operational duties, including arrival, breakfast, lunch, and dismissal.
  • Support enrichment activities as needed.
  • Students will engage in daily instruction focused on skill mastery with regular assessments to track growth.
  • Edgenuity will be used for all non-Math and ELA courses.

Stipend Amount:

  • $4,000 for completion of the entire four-week program.
