Job Title: Brand Experience & Design Coordinator
  • Candidates must be able to be on-site at our NYC HQ 5 days a week.

Job Summary:
Ground Up International is seeking a highly motivated Brand Experience & Design Coordinator at our NYC HQ to execute overall creative, graphics, presentations, décor, branding for events and installations across multiple client types and mediums. In this creative position you will develop overall project creative design direction, create mood boards, renderings, special layouts, signage, and collateral design for the office, activations & events. This is truly a "all hands-on deck" role. A successful candidate has the ability to create original, innovative designs in a wide range of styles & mediums.

Key Responsibilities:
Design Coordination & Installation
  • Create and manage presentation decks featuring design/creative work: mood boards, floor plans, renderings, mockups, graphics, decor selection, and various other project-related creative deliverables.
  • Possesses a strong understanding of concept development, spatial awareness, 3D designs, and installation processes.
  • Partner with Marketing Director & Office Experience team in sourcing showroom props and supplies while maintaining awareness of overall budget.
  • Maintain showroom and product integrity, ensuring Ground Up International brand standards are upheld.
  • Assist with display production and creation alongside the Marketing team. This includes installing décor for holidays, events; FFANY week several times a year and other duties as assigned.
  • Assist with showrooms during setups & partners with Marketing Director to ensure timely receipt of samples and delivery to Ground Up International showrooms

Project Management & Strategy
  • Schedule, partake, and oversee installations/projects, as well as maintain log of follow-up steps.
  • Under the direction of leadership, create project proposals for review
  • Own the design processes, submittal approvals, and overall project budgets
  • Ensure materials and equipment are in the best interest of the company's long-term maintenance and operations.
  • Support the Marketing team while reporting to the Director of Marketing to establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, contractors, subcontractors, and other vendors.

Collaboration
  • The Designer must be able to collaborate with producers, other creative team members, as well as with executive leadership, clients and vendors
  • The Designer will also play an active, hands-on role in the planning, pre-production and onsite execution of all creative designs.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and minimum of 2 years of professional experience in design & installation
  • Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong portfolio of creative work featuring executed designs and projects
  • Understanding of building code requirements
  • Prior experience must include brick and mortar retail
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, including delivering presentations.
  • Ability to take initiative, multi-task, and work in a fast-paced and often challenging environment
  • Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs
