PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION:
We seek a skilled and enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic IT team as a "MES Technician II." In this role, you will assume a crucial responsibility by overseeing and evaluating MES Systems and equipment throughout our Automotive Manufacturing plant in HMGMA Savannah, GA. Your primary focus will involve delivering Level 1and 2 support to ensure uninterrupted production operations at HMGMA Savannah, Georgia. This is an opportunity to contribute significantly to our ongoing success and maintain the seamless functioning of our production processes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Monitor and respond to problems with computer systems. This includes covering phone and radio calls from production and maintenance.
  • Complete periodic checklists regarding MES & HMGMA computer systems.
  • Promptly respond to and resolve issues and requests as they arise.
  • Work with other Analysts and other MES team members to resolve issues.
  • Escalate issues as per MES escalation standards
  • Work in both a control room and on the plant floor.
  • Work overtime as needed to support production as well as projects
  • Reconfigure and replace computers, scanners, and printers as they fail.
  • Attend some holidays and the summer shutdown period to perform preventative maintenance of computers and MES equipment throughout the plant.
  • Assist customers with installations and modifications regarding MES systems. This includes: computer installation, scanner installation and computer repair.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to support 24 X 7
• Ability to work overtime.
• Certifications Preferred: A+, Microsoft Certifications (MCPD, MCITP, MCTS).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Excellent Analytical Skills and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of Windows OS & Server Operations.
• Ability to read and follow complex work instructions.
• Must possess critical listening skills to discern end-user concerns/issues.
• Ability to communicate well in both written and verbal form.
• Ability to think logically, analyze issues, and implement countermeasures.
• Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments.
• Some technical experience troubleshooting computers or electronic equipment is a plus.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Intermediate computer knowledge
• Intermediate knowledge of Windows server operations
• Troubleshoot and fix hardware such as Computers, Printers, and Scanners (Auto1-D, 2-D, and both handheld & wireless)
• Assist in installing computers, printers, and scanners.
• Intermediate install & troubleshooting knowledge within network configuration for computers, printers, and scanners
• Intermediate GMES Application monitoring
• Monitor & troubleshoot GMES application - Level-I support.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office

Pay Range - $23 per hour to $28 per hour
