POSITION SUMMARY
Come enjoy a fun summer experience in Steamboat! Gondolas will be running this summer to transport mountain bikers and foot passengers. We are looking for full time Lift Operators. Days worked include 4-5 days per week, 30-40 hours per week with some night operations, including weekend work.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Must have positive guest relations and work well with a small crew
  • Responsible for the daily operation of the lift, pre-operational inspections, loading/unloading of guests and bikes, maintaining the work area, and other jobs assigned
  • Guest service - greeting, welcoming, and providing information to our guests - verbally, message boards, bike maps, etc.
  • Efficient and safe operation of the lifts, vehicles in the summer
  • Appearance at the lift areas - lift houses, ramps, maze, personal appearance, trash removal
  • Knowledge of lift equipment, ticket gates, and scanners
  • Inspection of the lifts
  • Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements
  • Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous work history/education preferred.
  • Previous lift operation experience preferred
  • Complete required documentation in an accurate and legible manner
  • Self-motivated, responsible, and independent with a neatly groomed appearance
  • Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers, and management consistent with Steamboat Ski and Resort Company's Service Excellence standards
  • Adhere to all safety policies
  • Read and comprehend lift operations manual and guidelines
  • Must read, write, and communicate verbally in the English language
The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation's hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.
Steamboat Springs area base hourly pay range: $18.50 - $19.50 per hour
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be minimum 18 years old
  • Stand on hard surface and often for long periods of time
  • Climb above ground on lift equipment
  • Lift a minimum of 30 lbs and/or push large objects (bikes, wheelchairs, etc.)
