Essential Duties
This posting will remain open to generate a pool of qualified student applicants for available positions during the semester.
  1. Tutor students in computer science courses, including programming, algorithms, data structures, and related topics.
  2. Assist students with coding assignments, debugging, and understanding course concepts.
  3. Provide a positive and professional learning environment that supports student success.
  4. Maintain confidentiality and academic integrity while performing tutoring duties.

Required Qualifications
  • Must be a currently enrolled student and registered for classes.
  • Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, and AI majors.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of programming and computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and debugging techniques.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, Java, C++, or JavaScript.
  • Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to students with varying levels of experience.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a professional, supportive, and confidential learning environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous tutoring, mentoring, peer coaching, or teaching assistant experience.
  • Experience with multiple programming languages and software development tools.
  • Familiarity with Git, GitHub, or other version control systems.
  • Ability to assist students in a variety of computer science subjects, including programming, databases, web development, and data structures.
  • Previous experience working in an office or academic support environment.
