Description of Primary Duties
Office Assistants greet and assist customers and provide information about Plaster Student Union and Missouri State University. In addition, Office Assistants perform general office duties such as answering telephone, taking messages or transferring calls, filing, and spreadsheet entry. Office assistants monitor the departmental email address and communicate with local businesses regarding digital advertisement sales/inquiries.
Required Qualifications
Applicants should be interested in all aspects of working in a customer service driven environment, be self-motivated and focused on getting things done. Preferred applicants will have some experience in handling phone lines, customer service, basic clerical skills, website design, computer literacy, sales, marketing, and/or be studying business, accounting, or a related major.
Office Assistants are student employees and must meet all University requirements to work on campus.

The person hired for this opening will be assisting with spreadsheets, accounting functions, and sales. Department is interested in hiring a summer applicant that may be able to continue employment through the 26/27 academic year. If summer availability is not an option, the department understands that scenario.
