Job Description
Position Summary: Lead and develop summer camp programs for students (grades 6-8) in the half day Step Up summer program. Staff prepare materials, lead curriculum, manage classroom behavior, attend field trips and contribute to overall tasks such as registration and training.
Fun and fast-paced summer position! Students of all majors are invited to apply. Job is on Hope's campus from June 8-11 (training) and June 15-July 30 (unpaid holiday 6/29-7/2). Monday-Thursday.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and deliver camp programming
  • Be a role model by setting appropriate behavior for camp participants
  • Monitor and manage student behavior (both inside and outside of the classroom)
  • Develop and lead curricular lessons
  • Assist with program logistics such as registration and documentation
  • Complete requested training

Qualifications
ฮ‡ College degree or student in good academic standing.
ฮ‡ Strong written and verbal communication skills
ฮ‡ Self-directed and proactive with good time-management skills
ฮ‡ Desire to work with students
ฮ‡ Ability to work with others in a team environment
Physical Demands
