US Synthetichas an immediate need for aStudent Engineerlocated inOrem, UT. The Student Engineer will assist ProcessEngineer/Specialistwith all aspects of assigned process and related machines. Performaudits andtrainings and use Lean methods to promote continuous improvement.

What You Will Do:

  • AssistEngineer/Specialistwith all aspects of assigned process and related machines
  • Troubleshooting
  • Assist production operators with machine malfunctions; assist maintenance when needed
  • Assist production floor withquality improvements
  • Own and be a part of PDCAs for the process
  • Learnand apply Six Sigma principles
  • Create, audit andmaintain standard worksoperators to use for training on process, i.e. Critical Knowledge and Job Breakdown Sheets
  • Run and train others in process meetings
  • Work a flexible schedule based around school schedule
  • Follow all company policies (Attendance, No Tobacco Products on Campus, Illegal Drug & Alcohol, Family Medical Leave Act, Personal Appearance, Personal Electronic Devices,Vacation & Personal Time, etc.)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GEDis required

  • Must have been accepted to a bachelor's engineering program at a university with intent to graduate

Physical Demands:

  • Combination of sitting, standing and walking for eight or more hours
  • Occasional repetitive motions
  • Use of Safety Equipment (Safety glasses, Steel-toed boots)
