Job description

We are looking for a highly skilled developer who is comfortable with mobile (Android and iOS) and the back-end programming needed to deliver a complete application. You will be working on developing and designing applications used by owners of our Vehicles.

As a full-stack application Developer, reporting directly to the Digital Lead Architect, you will be part of the connectivity innovation team constantly improving BRPs Consumer applications and be directly involved in BRPs digital products initiatives.

The BRP Digital team has two offices in the province of Quebec, one is in Montreal the other in Sherbrooke. Our spaces are fully designed to stimulate innovation, co-creation, collaboration with the various teams (CRM, Digital and product engineering) and to have fun at work!

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Participate in the development and maintenance of the mobile application and its back-end; including any interface with other systems (e.g. iOS&Android applications, Vehicle Hardware API)

  • Collaborate with Product owners and UX team to constantly improve the experience

  • Write automated test to ensure code and application quality

  • Participate in all areas of product life cycle, including discovery, planning, development, delivery and production support.

YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • Excellent knowledge of either Android (Kotlin) or iOS (Swift) development and native-hybrid frameworks (Kotlin-multiplatform)

  • Experience with Bluetooth and WiFi protocols

  • Familiarity with database technology such as MySQL, MariaDB and MongoDB.

  • Excellent knowledge of API protocols (Rest & GraphQL)

  • Familiarity with Azure cloud services

  • Excellent communication skills (in either French or English).

  • Experience in a corporation setting a plus

  • Experience working with a development provider a plus

  • Proven track record of prioritization of own work

  • Good problem solving skills

  • Attention to detail
