The role requires strong communication skills to educate staff and campers about health and safety, as well as adaptability to rapidly changing situations and schedules. Collaboration with camp counselors and directors is crucial to ensure a safe and supportive environment for all campers.

To thrive as a Summer Camp RN, you need a current RN license, experience in pediatric or emergency care, and strong clinical assessment skills. Familiarity with camp health protocols, first aid equipment, and electronic health record systems is typically required. Excellent communication, adaptability, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are vital soft skills for this role. These skills ensure the safety, well-being, and effective care of campers in a unique, fast-paced camp environment.
