GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Summer Bridge program is a day camp-style initiative designed to help prepare the incoming first-gen cohort students for college. Summer Bridge Leaders will assist the program coordinator, lead small group activities, and help foster an engaging and welcoming environment for all participants. This position receives general direction from the Success Coach, First Generation & At-Risk Populations. Employee may not work more than 19.5 hours per week.
NOTE: This is a security-sensitive position, and an appropriate background and credit investigation will be made on applicants being strongly considered for this position.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Sedentary-Desk work; occasional field trips e.g. for college or program activities. Minimal Hazard/Exposure-Standard office setting. At least minimal environmental controls are in place to assure health and comfort.
BENEFITS:
Part-Time Retirement. Participation in Medicare Part A, but not Social Security (FICA).
QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Current McLennan student, member of Cohort 18 in First Generation Scholars; minimum 2.5 GA
