Job Summary Job Summary Temporary summer position for camp sessions for weeks of: July 20-24 & July 27-31 Who We Are The San Domenico summer camp program offers children aged 4-18 a rich assortment of sports, academic, and enrichment programs, including art, music, digital art, film, and STEM-oriented programs. Our camps are located on San Domenico's beautiful 515 acre campus in San Anselmo.

About this role Cooking Around the World Camp is a hands-on culinary experience for students ages 7-12. Campers discover their inner chef as they explore a new country each day through cooking, culture, and storytelling. In addition to preparing and tasting global dishes, students enjoy arts and crafts, outdoor play, and supervised pool time, creating a fun and enriching summer adventure.

This is a part-time, seasonal position that reports to the Director of Auxiliary Services. Requirements / Qualifications Job Responsibilities Actively supervise students in Cooking Around the World Camp Communicate with families and students participating in Camp General first aid as needed Manage Cooking Around the World central spaces i.e., classroom Escort children to different locations on campus Help set up and clean up activities for the camp director and campers Demonstrate proper kitchen safety and etiquette Work closely with the camp director to ensure a nurturing, safe, and productive social, emotional, and academic environment Perform related duties as assigned by the camp director and supervisor Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent Minimum of one (1) year of childcare experience Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a kitchen or food preparation environment Must be at least 18 years of age due to the responsibilities of supervising minors and working in a commercial kitchen environment Experience communicating professionally and effectively with parents and guardians in a school or youth-centered setting Ability to work independently and complete assignments in accordance with established guidelines and standard practices Perform other duties as assigned to support program operations Hours 8:30am - 4:00pm Compensation The hourly range for this position is: $16.90-23.00/hour. This position is nonexempt, which is eligible for paid overtime in accordance with applicable state and federal law

Final placement within this range is commensurate with a candidate's specific experience and qualifications; typically, those with fewer years of experience can expect placement toward the lower end of the scale.
