The proposed College of Osteopathic Medicine at Xavier University (XUCOM) invites applications for a medical genetics faculty in the Division of Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Genetics. The 12-month positions beginning in June of 2027. Tenure and non-tenure track will be considered. These positions are involved in the creation, development, and delivery of the basic science medical curriculum, the creation and evaluation of assessments, pursue scholarly activities in their area of expertise, and provide mentorship and guidance for medical students. The biomedical science faculty report to the Associate Dean of Faculty and Medical Programs.

XUCOM is the first osteopathic medical school at a JesuitCatholicUniversity. To fulfill its mission, XUCOM will integrate JesuitCatholictraditionsand valueswith Osteopathic Principles and Practice; ourmission is infused in all that we do. Xavier is an EOE.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Designs and delivers curricular content within the College of Osteopathic Medicine
  • Involved in the creation of assessments within the curriculum of the College of Osteopathic Medicine
  • Advises and mentors students of XUCOM
  • Contributes to the mission of the college through teaching, scholarship and service
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • Terminal degree in discipline related to medical education (PhD, MD, DO)
  • Evidence of scholarly activity in genetics or molecular biology

Preferred:

  • 1-3 years teaching experience in medical education or graduate education
  • Evidence of student mentoring

POSITION:

Twelve-month, non-tenure and tenure track will be considered

Rank and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience
