Are you a recruiter with legal experience? Have you recruited law students before? Would you like to work with one of the top law firms in the US? If so, R & W Group has a great new opportunity! One of our favorite law firm clients is looking for a Law Student Recruiting Specialist to join their Attorney Recruiting team in NY! Working closely with the Manager of Law Student Recruiting, Firmwide Director of Attorney Recruiting, the National Hiring Committee, and office leadership, in this role you would play a key role in attracting and engaging top law student talent while helping deliver a best-in-class summer associate experience. This position would work a hybrid work schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Law Student Recruiting
  • Coordinate law student recruiting initiatives, including campus outreach and recruiting events.
  • Manage screening and callback interview scheduling, candidate communications, and interview logistics.
  • Welcome candidates and ensure an exceptional interview experience.
  • Coordinate callback events, receptions, and offer visits.
  • Support weekly recruiting decision meetings and maintain recruiting materials.
  • Build relationships with law schools, career services professionals, student organizations, alumni, and prospective candidates.
Summer Associate Program
  • Help coordinate the firm's summer associate program from planning through completion.
  • Organize orientation, training sessions, networking events, and social activities.
  • Coordinate pre-arrival communications and summer associate schedules.
  • Support evaluation processes and overall summer program administration.
  • Assist with onboarding and integration of entry-level associates.
Recruiting Operations
  • Maintain candidate information within the firm's applicant tracking system (ViDesktop).
  • Prepare recruiting reports, metrics, and administrative materials.
  • Support the hiring process for foreign attorneys.
  • Represent the firm through NALP and other legal recruiting organizations.
  • Contribute to additional recruiting and talent initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Four (4) or more years of recruiting experience, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and recruiting technologies.
  • Knowledge of legal recruiting practices and employment regulations.
  • Outstanding organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional judgment, professionalism, and discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Strong client service mindset with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Flexibility to work additional hours during peak recruiting periods.
