Anticipated Dates: As soon as possible through the tentative date of September 30, 2026 (summer off).
Location: Oliver Middle School
Hours Per Day: 6.50 (7:00am - 2:00pm) with Availability 6:00am - 2:30pm
Work Year: 10 Months -- Off during school breaks
Minimum Pay Rate: $16.50 Per Hour
Classification: Labor
EXPERIENCE: Previous work experience in the food service field desirable, but not essential.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:
To assist in the preparation and serving of food, or in the cleaning of kitchen equipment as directed. In the absence of the Assistant Cook, Cook, or Cook Manager, the Assistant Cook assumes those duties and responsibilityies. The Assistant Cook may also assign duties to the Food Service Helper.
KEY FUNCTIONS:
  1. Assists in the preparation of food items.
  2. Sets up serving lines with condiments, hot and cold foods, and table services.
  3. Assist in food handling, including proper storage of food.
  4. Serves as cashier and/ or server on food service line.
  5. Assists in the washing and sanitizing of pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent desired.
  • Hold a valid Servsafe Certificate or willing to complete the training.
  • The ability to lift a minimum of 35 to 50 pounds.
