Summer Analyst Interns are undergraduate students who participate in a short-term internship program, typically during the summer, at financial institutions, consulting firms, or other corporations. These internships usually last 8-12 weeks and provide hands-on experience in areas such as financial analysis, research, and project support. The role allows interns to gain industry knowledge, develop technical and professional skills, and build a network within the organization. Many firms use these internships as a pipeline for full-time analyst positions after graduation.

You’ll often work closely with full-time analysts and associates, and may have opportunities to participate in meetings or calls with clients. The workload can be fast-paced, and interns are encouraged to proactively seek feedback and learn from experienced colleagues.
