The Financial Planning, Analytics and Business Insight Team is currently recruiting for a Summer Student.  The Financial Planning, Analytics and Business Insight Team is responsible for ensuring the financial and operational effectiveness of the organization, with a focus on planning, analysis and performance.  Reporting to the Manager / Director of the team, the two Summer Students will get hands on exposure and will contribute to the success of the team.  This role is designed for Students currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare Management or Analytics (or equivalent).

This position will be on-site. 

Employment Status: Temporary Full-Time

Duration: August 31, 2026

Scheduled Requirements: Employee Group: Non Union Hourly Rate: $20 per hour

Reporting Relationship: Director, Financial Planning Analytics and Business Insight

Responsibilities and Key Projects:

  • Be involved with the implementation and testing of the hospital's new ERP and Business Intelligence systems
  • Gathering and analyzing industry comparative data
  • Conduct testing, reconciliation and validation of business data, reports, dashboards and datasets
  • Aid in the creation of presentations for leadership team
  • Provide administrative support to the Planning and Analytics team
  • Assisting in ad hoc analysis as required by the team       
  • Assisting team with month-end activities

Requirements:

  • Preferred candidate will be enrolled in a recognized Business, Healthcare Management or Analytics program at an accredited university and is able to work regular office hours throughout the summer months (May to end of August)    
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • A performance-focused, results-oriented approach with a strong work ethic and determination to achieve success
  • Strong ownership mentality with exceptional self-motivation, ambition, and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, leadership, and motivational skills
  • Solid analytical capabilities and structured thinking
  • Excellent attendance and discipline free record required
