Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of students to identify emotional and behavioral challenges, determining the best course of action for treatment.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that align with the unique needs of each child, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic methodologies.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions remotely, employing techniques to foster engagement and trust with young clients.
• Collaborate with school personnel and parents to ensure a comprehensive approach to each student’s mental health care, participating in IEP meetings as required.
• Maintain meticulous records of client progress and treatment outcomes, ensuring adherence to ethical standards and confidentiality regulations.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay abreast of the latest research and techniques in child and adolescent mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position specifically focuses on children and adolescents who exhibit symptoms of major mental illnesses or severe emotional disorders. You will work with students from diverse backgrounds, addressing unique emotional and social challenges they encounter in their educational journeys. By building trusting relationships and utilizing culturally competent practices, you will empower clients to express themselves and improve their overall mental health outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential is mandatory.
• Expert knowledge in assessments, diagnoses, and treatment methodologies tailored to child and adolescent populations.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and compassionately.
• Strong organizational and time management capabilities, essential for managing multiple caseloads effectively.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of direct clinical experience working with children and adolescents in school or community settings.
• Experience with crisis intervention strategies and risk assessment for youth populations.
• Familiarity with educational systems and collaboration with educational staff is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
