Job Summary
Sugaright in Dallas is looking for a hands-on, dependable Maintenance Technician who can keep a busy manufacturing facility running safely and efficiently. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership of their work, and can troubleshoot and repair equipment across the entire plant with minimal supervision. If you are the type of technician who can diagnose a problem, fix it correctly, and move on to the next challenge, we want to talk to you.
This position supports all plant maintenance, including production equipment, utilities, mobile equipment, and fleet assets, while maintaining food safety, sanitation, and safety standards.
Essential Functions
(This list is intended to describe the role-not limit it.)
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant equipment, including electric motors (low and high voltage), centrifugal pumps, valves, dryers, and electrical devices.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, utilities, and mobile assets including forklifts, front-end loaders, semi-trucks, and trailers.
  • Diagnose electrical issues using proper testing methods and safely replace motors, components, and controls as needed.
  • Perform forklift and heavy equipment PMs, including battery maintenance, hydraulic hose repair, and mechanical inspections.
  • Support plant utilities and facility systems such as boilers, air compressors, HVAC, and water systems as required.
  • Follow GMP, SQF, sanitation, and food safety standards while performing maintenance activities in production areas.
  • Read and interpret manuals, schematics, and work orders to complete repairs accurately and efficiently.
  • Complete work orders, PM documentation, and daily activity reporting.
  • Work independently with limited supervision while maintaining strong communication with operations and leadership.
  • Maintain company tools, shop organization, and a safe work environment at all times.

Education & Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience required.
  • Strong electrical experience required; industrial certifications or apprenticeships preferred but not required.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
  • Ability to work in hot, cold, wet, and dusty environments.
  • Ability to stand, bend, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must have adequate vision, hearing, and dexterity to safely perform maintenance tasks.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or equivalent, and more than three years' experience with maintenance of production machinery, electricity, and pumps.
Preferred- * Certification in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance or equivalent work experience in a manufacturing, production environment preferred and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and plant facility maintenance experience.
