Veterinary Internal Medicine Specialist - Sugar Land, TX
A veterinary specialty practice is seeking a Veterinary Internist to join its multidisciplinary clinical team. This opportunity is ideal for a veterinarian who is passionate about internal medicine, enjoys managing complex medical cases, and values collaboration, continuous learning, and high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a wide range of internal medicine cases.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress.
  • Perform and interpret advanced diagnostic procedures within the scope of practice.
  • Collaborate with specialists, emergency clinicians, and support staff to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Communicate diagnoses, treatment options, and prognoses with clients and referring veterinarians.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
  • Participate in case discussions, continuing education, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Uphold the highest standards of medical quality, patient safety, and client service.
Qualifications
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Veterinary Internal Medicine.
  • Active or eligible veterinary license in the state of practice.
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
