Pay Grade: Grade 21S

Starting Pay: $86,834.54ย  Pay Range Maximum: $127,980.06/yr.

Salary Notes: This position is designated as a Union position. All new hires must start at the entry level rate for this role per the collective bargaining agreement/MOA with OPEIU, Local 6. Pay may advance within the salary band according to the CBA/MOU.

Departmental Mission Statement:ย The Facilities Management and Capital Planning department provides for the management and maintenance of 62 state-owned courthouses, and 42 leased facilities located in ten counties of the Commonwealth. The Department is committed to administering effective property management, facility operations, facility renewal, and the delivery of quality customer service in support of the administration of justice throughout the Commonwealth.

Position Summary:ย Ensures the effective operation of all building systems within a designated cluster of facilities. Building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and life safety systems. Coordinates staff and contractor support in order to complete needed maintenance and ensure efficient building operations.

Supervision Received:ย Works under the direction of the Facilities Regional Manager or their designee.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Monitors building systems performance and issues, repairs and makes adjustments as necessary.
Plans and schedules preventative maintenance.
Supervises multiple vendors for maintenance and systems projects.
Provides database oversight and maintenance.
Ensures buildings are adequately staffed and equipment is functioning.
Orders equipment, tools and supplies.
Maintains log of concerns submitted by building occupants.
Provides building performance reports.
Tracks work orders.
Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Requirements: Education and Experience
High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalency
At least five (5) years of related work experience
License in a skilled trade (E.g. Mandatory Electrician, Plumber,
HVAC/Refrigeration)
Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered for
meeting minimum qualifications.
