Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests with a warm smile and prepare their orders with precision and care.
  • Master our menu items and provide accurate explanations to guests.
  • Efficiently operate the Point of Sale system, ensuring smooth transactions.
  • Maintain accuracy in cash handling procedures throughout the shift.
  • Prepare food according to our formulas and standards, prioritizing neatness and timeliness.
  • Keep a close eye on inventory levels and restock items as needed.
  • Adhere strictly to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
  • Uphold cleanliness standards to ensure a welcoming environment for our guests.
  • Follow quality standards and procedures outlined in our Subway Operations Manual.
  • Present yourself professionally, adhering to grooming and dresscode standards outlined in our operations manual.
  • Complete assigned paperwork accurately and promptly.
  • Engage and completes in ongoing training through the University of Subway courses.
  • Prioritize safety by promptly addressing any hazards and following store safety rules.

Supervision Received:
You'll report directly to the Subway Store Manager and Supervisor.

Qualifications:
Required:

  1. Some high school education or equivalent.
  2. Basic mathematical skills and the ability to count accurately.
  3. Clear communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  4. Good interpersonal skills.

Job Tasks:
This role involves:

  • Operating a computerized point of sale system and working in various areas of the restaurant.
  • Performing tasks such as bending, standing, and walking throughout the shift.
  • Handling weights up to 30lbs occasionally.
  • Communicating effectively and politely with customers, co-workers, vendors, and prospective employees.
  • Reading and understanding equipment manuals, chemical warning labels, and operational forms and reports.

Safety:

  1. Adhere to company and store safety procedures and guidelines.
  2. Use Personal Protective Equipment when required.
  3. Perform job duties without endangering the health and safety of others.
  4. Comply with company drug and alcohol policy.
