Technical Project Manager - IT I
Location: New York, New York (Hybrid)
Role Overview
We are seeking a consultant for a 7-month contract to manage High Dynamic Range (HDR) and localization backfill projects. The role involves ensuring that original programming Interoperable Master Format (IMF) packages are re-wrapped, validated, and uploaded for storage in a global content management system. This process facilitates distribution to global streaming platforms and other licensing partners.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and monitor the re-wrap of IMF packages utilizing a transcoding toolset.
  • Validate re-wrapped packages and manage the queue for validation or spot checks.
  • Manage the queue to upload re-wrapped packages to the content management system.
  • Create work orders and manage the migration of audio and subtitle files from a storage server to the content management system.
  • Track and report weekly progress and status of IMF, dub, and subtitle backfill queues.
Required Qualifications
Experience:
  • 1+ years of experience in a hands-on technical role within a fast-paced environment.
  • 1+ years of project management experience, managing multiple deadlines and projects.
  • 1+ years of database management experience with the ability to manage and action a tracker.

Technical Skills:
  • Understanding of technical specifications within television technology, including familiarity with file formats and metadata.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Familiarity with collaboration tools and apps such as Google Drive Suite, SharePoint, Smartsheet, Airtable, or Slack.

Education:
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, Colorfront Transkoder, or other editing tools is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability as a quick problem solver.
  • A collaborative, team-player attitude with effective time management skills.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
